Plasma speaker
From HvWiki
(Redirected from Plasma Speaker)
A plasma speaker is a type of massless speaker (no mass is required to move the air, such as a diaphragm). The plasma speaker operates by creating an electric field strong enough to cause the gas to ionize and become plasma, which heats the air drastically very suddenly, which creates a compression shockwave similar to thunder, only on a smaller scale.
When this plasma is audio-modulated, it creates audible sound.
