I know there's a similar discussion on another page but I think there needs to be an article that starts with a warm fuzzy idea of electric field, progresses to Coulomb's law and then uses the old test-charge idea to make a simple mathematical description of the field. Some 4hv users haven't much idea of electromagnetism at all. --Simon 19:54, 9 Sep 2005 (EDT)
